A new chapter of the summer starts on Monday. My employment at iD Tech Camp officially starts. For the second year in a row I am going to be teaching teenagers the same stuff that has made my life both miserable and worthwhile for the past 6 years. I’m pretty nervous about this first week, and I’m not quite confident with the subject matter (C++) just yet, but I think I will be able to handle it. The people seem nice, but I’m not sure about the nickname they came up for me. I know I’m a bit odd but having a camp name after a serial killer (Dexter) seems a bit overkill. I think I’m a little more like the one from the kids show, but who knows…
I started this blog a very long time ago with the intention of people reading it. Now I realize I just want to write and I don’t really care if anyone sees this. But if you are, read on. You might find some of the bullshit I spew mildly interesting. So, yes. It is time to restart the blog. With the new semester and two classes that require an insane amount of my time, it’s going to be difficult to find the time to post, but I think its important. I want to be able to look back and have a memory of what I was and what I represented, and college is a time of everyones lives that passes them by far too quickly. So. here it goes…
Last night I went to a rave. It was wow. Driving into one of the sketchiest areas of Dallas was not fun but once you got through the indescript doors of the warehouse it was a colorful maze of awesome music and weird and cool people. From house to DnB, this place rocked its techno. It has the feel of an underground old school warehouse rave, and everyone seems connected by the fact their offbeat enough to go there. Be open minded if you go and don’t be surprised if you see a lot of high, emo, and gay people. But its not about stereotypes, It’s about the music, dancing and having an awesome time. I’ll be going again soon. I’ll keep you posted and maybe I will see some of you there!
I’ve started a music production club at my school with a friend of mine. We focus on the technical aspects of making music, from recording to mastering to publication. If you happen to have some expertise In this subject I would appreciate some advice for beginners, just comment below. I’ll be posting the songs we make on my other blog Across The Soundsea.
Well yes, it’s been quite a while since I last posted. Sorry for the long shortage of news, I could say I was really busy but that would be a half-way lie. (playing to much COD haha). However, I’m back and hopefully much better than ever. Look forward to much more in depth coverage of tech stuff in the world and some stuff hopefully stuff no one else has!
Thanks for your patience
Also, it may be difficult to post regularly as I will be in an area with limited WiFi but I’ll do my best
